Three things the listing buries
These sit at the bottom of a platform page, under the amenity icons. They are the three things guests actually ask me about.
Wood heat, not baseboards
The stove is the heat. There is a full rack of dry alder under the porch and I show you how it drafts before I leave.
The last two miles
County gravel, kept graded. Any car makes it May through October; in December you want a little clearance or chains in the trunk.
Wi‑Fi on a wire
The internet comes in on a buried line, not a hotspot, so it stays up when the weather does not. One bar of cell service on the deck.

House rules, in plain words
House rules
- Check in from 4pm, out by 11am. Self check-in, code by text.
- Dogs welcome, two of them, $25 each. Not on the beds.
- Quiet after 10pm — the neighbours live here all year.
- No smoking anywhere on the property, including the deck.
- The stove is yours to use. Ash goes in the metal can, never the bin.
- Leave it roughly how you found it. I do the rest.
If your plans change
- 14 days or more before check-in: full refund, no questions.
- 7 to 13 days: half back, or move the nights once at no cost.
- Under 7 days: no refund, but if I fill the nights I pass it back.
- If the pass closes and you cannot get here, you get it all back.
Paying
- By card, in the box above, when you book.
- The total you see is the total. Cleaning is in it; there is no fee added at the end.
- Your receipt and the door code arrive by email straight after.
